Quasi Z Source Inverter Fed Induction Motor Drive Using Chaotic Carrier Sinusoidal PWM

The advancement of power semiconductor devicesand digital control has resulted in a significant increase in theoperation of Adjustable-Speed Drives (ASD). On the majorityof these drives, the deterministic PWM approach is used. Theharmonic components of the output voltage of deterministicPWM are coordinated around the switching frequency and itsmultiples. Acoustic noise is caused by torque ripples andinterferences. Non-deterministic PWM is utilised to addressthese issues, which results in the spreading of harmonic powerin the drive's output voltage. Control techniques and extensivesimulation diagrams of Q-ZSI utilised for induction motors areexplored in this work. The working principle of the proposedQ-ZSI-based induction motor is established, and the open loopand closed loop results are validated using MATLAB simulation.
