Abstract This paper presents and comprehensively investigates a non‐isolated quadratic boost dc–dc converter (QBC), designed based on integrating a triple winding coupled inductor into the basic quadratic impedance network. The topology only contains ten components. It provides a high boost factor as well as high efficiency. Unlike most previous step‐up dc–dc converters, the employed improving method does not change the converter input current from continuous mode to pulsating or discontinuous shapes, making it suitable for connecting to the current sensitive resources.
