The socio-political consequences of the current multi-faceted crisis we are experiencing place under tension the emerging forms of collective and bottom-up actions claiming for commons-based spaces. Urban participatory initiatives in relation with the collective/individual spheres of vulnerable communities highlight that self-organized and co-produced actions for a sustainable and equitable regeneration of collective spaces can trigger effective processes of empowerment and self-sufficiency, challenging power and economical relationships at the ground and conceptual level.
