Background/Purpose: Overhead athletes are at high risk of developing shoulder injuries due to the repeated throwing movements, which put a lot of constraints on this joint complex. The most commonly reported pathologies are sub-acromial impingement and pain, which scapular alteration is one of the symptoms. The objective of this literature review is to analyze the effects of scapular rehabilitation on pain and sports performances, in the overhead athlete suffering from sub-acromial pain. Methods: Searches were conducted from August to November 2021 on scientific databases such as Pubmed, Cochrane or GoogleScholar.
