Background: Common low back pain is often associated with significant psychosocial factors, particularly when it reaches the chronic stage. At that point, symptoms become more persistent and are responsible for a large majority of the socioeconomic costs. Consequently, it seems essential to intervene as early as possible in the evolution of low back pain. Biopsychosocial management leads to the development of multidisciplinary programs that bring together different health care professionals.
