Introduction: Basketball being one of the most practiced sports on an international scale, the question was asked to know what was the most common injury in order to study the prevention of this one within the sports teams. Following numerous researches and analysis of scientific data, notably on risk factors, anatomy or different preventive treatments, ankle sprains turned out to be the most common injury.
