Cette thèse de doctorat étudie la relation existante entre la forme textuelle des recueils de poésie lyrique amoureuse au Moyen-âge et la construction du sujet lyrique qui anime cette poésie. En particulier, ce travail étudie les cas de Guido Cavalcanti (1258 ? - 1300), Dante Alighieri (1265 – 1321) et François Pétrarque (1304 – 1374). La première partie s’occupe du corpus cavalcantien et problématise l’absence d’un recueil d’auteur, en posant les jalons nécessaires pour saisir l’objet d’étude. Après avoir défini les notions de sujet lyrique et avoir analysé le traitement poétique de l’objet d’amour, une étude comparative avec Dante met en évidence les implications au niveau macrotextuel de leurs différentes conceptions du sujet amoureux.
