The decomposition of intra-regular ordered semigroups with or without a greatest element into their simple subsemigroups, in general, is not uniquely defined. The intra-regular ordered semigroups are, uniquely, complete semilattices of simple semigroups. In particular, a poe-semigroup -that is an ordered semigroup (:po-semigroup) having a greatest element-is a semilattice of simple semigroups if and only if it is a semilattice of simple poe-semigroups [3]
