Housing is a basic necessity of life. Provision of adequate housing is a perennial problem confronting the nations of the world. The problem is more challenging in the developing countries like Nigeria. Nigeria with a population estimated at over 200million people is plagued with the shortage of quality and adequate housing. The demographics from the National Bureau of Statistics shows the median age of 22.7 years. More than 60% of the population are less than 65 years. The implication is that more houses will be required to meet the need of the younger population with attendant environmental, social and economic problems.
