The professional truck driver population is aging in Australia and internationally. However, there is currently a gap in knowledge related to the morbidity of workers in the transport industry. Understanding the health and wellbeing of workers employed in the transport industry should be a priority to ensure the appropriate allocation of resources to prevention and rehabilitation efforts. This study explored the landscape of work-related injury and disease in the Australian transport industry, by measuring injury and illness resulting in time loss in truck drivers by age group.
