The main aim of ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions is the study of a state of strongly-interacting matter at high energy density and temperature, known as the quark-gluon plasma (QGP). Hard probes, for example heavy flavours and jets, play an important in the investigation of the properties of the QGP since they are created at the early stage of the collision and suffer the whole evolution of the system. The nuclear modification factor RAA and the second-order azimuthal anisotropy coefficient v2 are amongst the most important observables to address the properties of the QGP.
