International audienceIn the North-West of France, metallic production during the second half of the Middle Bronze Age is characterised by the deposit of stereotyped groups of objects, mainly palstaves and bracelets, which are excellent cultural and chronological indicators of this period.The integration of many heteroclite or mixed hoards in the inventories of Middle Bronze Age 2 metal production has biased the study of context and of object association. Also, the important differences from one author and one paper to another in the number of objects dated to this period has encouraged a critical sorting of the existing data.
