In the article „Sovereign and Democracy“ it was tried to remind the sovereign conception in the absolute monarchy and in the 18th century, when it was influenced mostly by John Lock, Charles Louis Montesquieu and Jean Jacques Rousseau. Before the 18th century in many European countries it was believed that the monarchy has the absolute power granted them by the God. Those three men, mentioned above, have offered a new interpretation of sovereignty based on the doctrine of separation of powers, which has had a great impact on today idea of democracy.
