The object of investigation is to analyse the reasons and the ways of solution of conflicts between a person d a police officer. 120 first-year students (60 girls and 60 boys) from Mykolas Romeris University Kaunas faculty of Police took part in the research. In 2003-2004 school year they had 4 months teaching practice in specialised police units. On the basis of the research results it was established that the research participants most often felt anxiety (73%), anger (43%), fear (13%), and rage (11%). The majority of the respondents noted that they felt anxiety at the beginning of the conflict, and many of them assigned that condition to the lack of job experience.
