The bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of community care provided by community midwives to women and newborns in the six-week period. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis, the reader is first introduced to community care. The subchapters dedicated to community care describe the history of community care, then describe the activities of community midwives in the Czech Republic and the last subchapter is dedicated to community midwifery care abroad.
