The Naturalism in the Novels K. J. Šlejhar

The bachelor thesis deals with the reception of Šlejhar's stories, which are the prose Florian Bílek, mlynář z Byšic: příběhy z vesnického života and the short story collections Co život opomíjí and Z krajského města. The first part documents the primary reception, especially from published magazine critical texts from the period of Šlejhar's life and shortly after his death. The following section is focused on the secondary reception from years 1959 to 2008, which I draw mainly from literary historical books. In conclusion, I compare the reception from the transformation of points of view and emphasizing different aspects
