The thesis deals with animal husbandry in school praxis and aims primarily on possibilities of strengthening the positive attitude of children to animals and the nature in general. It focuses on the educational aspects of children's direct contact with animals, understanding their way of life and caring for them. Behavior of the animals in school praxis is usually used as direct part of the environmental education, science lesson, in personality education or social education. With the help of animals the child better gets to know itself and his schoolmates. Caring for animals leads children to take responsibility for life internally and for other activities. It learns patience and humility, leads to thinking about the life story of every living creature. It encourages consideration of nature as an environment that needs to be protected, both for animals, flora and humankind. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The benefits of the behavior in school practice and its pitfalls are in the theoretical part. There is also a list of the suitable animals for behavior in school practice, including their characteristics, needs and opportunities for joint activities with children. The practical part deals with worksheets focused on knowledge about farmed animals, their needs, the nature in general and in a playful way again touches also personal and social education
