The thesis presents various ways in which video can be applied to develop motivation in secondary and primary school science classes. The theoretical part outlines the roles that videos can take in the educational process and the forms they may acquire. Moreover, it summarises the advantages and disadvantages of their use in teaching and reveals the possible risks associated with them, as well as methods to prevent them. In the practical part of the thesis, ten educational videos have been developed, divided into four tutorials. These programmes are intended for three science subjects: biology, physics and chemistry.
