Branná výchova jako možný základ připravenosti občanů k obraně ČR

This final thesis focuses on the theme of military education as a way, to ensure civilian readiness to defend their country. The theoretical part of this thesis contains a historical summary of teaching military education subjects. It is a picture of historical development of these subjects in the Czech Republic from the time of the Austrian monarchy until today. The practical part of this thesis is based on the presumption that the good physical conditions is the foundation of military education and civilian readiness to protect their country. The main purpose of this thesis is to determine whether teaching military education carried out in basic and high schools in the second half of the 20th century has affected the level of physical fitness the civilians who were students in that period
