Bullying at Elementary Schools: Teachers' and Pupils' Perspective

This final thesis deals with the issue of bullying at elemantary schools. It is also focused on the topic of cyber-bullying, which has recently become a common phenomenon due to the modern technologies, and so it has turned into a dangerous weapon of the bullies. The aim of the thesis was to compare the point of view of the teachers with the attitude of the pupils towards the frequency of bullying at their school. The school is located in the West Bohemian district and stays anonymous. The research also determines the level of bully prevention and pupils' potential behaviour in case of bullying in their classroom, including their personal point of view on the victim and the bully. It is rather interesting to see the pupils' reaction to what they are supposed to do and what they really do in an actual situation of repeated bullying in their surroundings. The questionnaire survey also brings interesting findings about the question whose fault the bullying is. It was found out that pupils mostly blame a group of boys and girls. The results of the research are arranged in the diagrams, so that the different attitudes of pupils and teachers at individual questions can be clearly seen
