The role of social educator in solving socially pathological phenomena in school environment

The bachelor thesis is focused on the position of a social pedagogue in a school environment and on dealing with sociopathological phenomena connected with it. The goal of this thesis is to bring information about work of social pedagogue in elementary school and to bring an overview of practice in dealing with chosen sociopathological phenomena, such as bullying, addictive substances, robberies, which occur in a school environment of second level of elementary school. The theoretical part focuses on legislative definition, competence, personal prerequisites and on areas, which the social pedagogue works in in the school environment. Following are chosen sociopathological phenomena, included are basic information about them, their phases and their causes. Qualitative research, which includes five interviews with respondents about chosen sociopathologicel phenomena, primary prevention and about position of social pedagogue in Czech education system, is used in the practical part. Out of these five respondents, three are common teachers, who, at their schools in Prachatice, are prevention methodologists. Two of the interviews are with social pedagogues, who work at elementary schools in České Budějovice
