Motivation and remuneration of employees in a selected company

The subject of this work is the motivation and remuneration of employees in a selected company. Motivation and remuneration of employees are considered very important activities of every company because human resources are competitive for the company. The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyze the system of motivation and remuneration of employees in the selected company and to propose possible changes to improve this system. The first part of the thesis defines the basic concepts, systemic motivation and individual theories of motivation. It also explains the concepts related to remuneration and describes the overall remuneration system, including total remuneration and employee benefits. The second part introduces and briefly characterizes the selected company ČSOB, a.s. It also describes how the motivation system works in the company and how employees are rewarded. All data were confirmed from a questionnaire survey and interviews with the branch manager. The research dealt with the areas of retail banking in ČSOB, a.s. in České Budějovice, Tábor and Písek. In the practical part, a questionnaire survey is evaluated and then all five established hypotheses are evaluated. The results are presented in the form of graphical and tabular outputs. Subsequently, all data are processed into a proposal to improve the system of motivation and remuneration of employees in this company
