Following gothic sculpture and painting - Series of Creative Lessons for Art Education at Primary School.

The diploma thesis "Following gothic art - Series of Creative Lessons for Art Education at Primary School" is divided into theoretical and project part. The theoretical part concists of three chapters. In the first chapter we will focus on introduction to the theme of Gothic art and culture. We will get acquainted with the culture and society of the High and Late Middle Ages, with the medieval aesthetics and view of art. We will also get acquainted with the main artistic features of Gothic style and the development of Gothic art in Europe. The aim of this chapter is a factual insight into the topic of Gothic art, designed for the needs of primary teachers and the didactic application in the practice of art education. The second chapter will introduce the possibilities of working with the theme of Gothic art in connection with the Framework Educational Program. The final chapter of the theoretical part introduces the possibilities of working with the given topic in the teaching of art education and it acquaints with didactic and methodical materials that deal with the topic of Gothic art. The project part introduces eight lessons of the art series, which demonstrate a practical understanding of the topic of Gothic art in the teaching of art education at primary school
