Social work with people Alzheimer's disease

The object of this undergraduate thesis is to theoretically describe social work focused on in-home care for patients with Alzheimer's disease and to highlight specific features of this target group. This work contains characteristics of Alzheimer's disease as described in academic literature. Also, it covers the topic of in-home care, specific features of communication with the patient and the strain laid on the social worker. Finally, this thesis lists the options of help and support of social work towards both the patient and the social worker and focuses on possibilities of nonpharmacologic treatment
