Supplier selection and evaluation process and its impact on inventory control

The aim of the work is to optimise supplier selection and evaluation based on internal information obtained from Gienger spol. s r.o. with its registered office in South Moravian Napajedla. It is a wholesale unit dealing with the provision of materials and goods in the building services engineering field. The theoretical part focuses on explaining the concepts and informing regarding the methods used. These are mainly the topics of supplier selection and evaluation, stockpile and its accounting and management, and multiple-criteria decision-making used to optimise supplier selection. The practical part examines the supplier selection and evaluation methods used at Gienger, seeking to optimise them based on the proposed modifications. It also addresses the impact of supplier selection on stock management in the company. The results are evaluated based on the information obtained and proposed adjustments
