Word Classes in the Czech Language Teaching Methodology for Primary School

The thesis focuses on word classes in the Czech language teaching methodology for primary school. The thesis consists of two parts - the theoretical one and the practical one. The theoretical part explains the concept and meaning of word classes and introduces methods facilitating the acquisition of word classes by younger students. It also highlights possible difficulties associated with teaching this topic. The practical part analyses several sets of primary school textbooks and describes the most frequent difficulties teachers encounter while teaching word classes. At the end there are several recommendations and suggestions which may facilitate the learning of word classes by children
