Background and purpose: The world has made unprecedented efforts to control the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), however, the number of positive cases are increasingly being seen every day. Therefore, there is an urgent need for more effective preventive measures to limit the spread of the infection which require more precise understanding of the routes of transmission and its stability in different environments. Materials and methods: In this review, all articles published up to September, 2020 on the stability of coronaviruses, including SARS‐CoV‐2 were studied.
