EUYActiveEng: Improving the Active European Young Political Engagment Through Traditional and Digital Processes

"This project aims to give young people the opportunity to increase their awareness, knowledge, participation and engagement on European Youth policies at any level. In order to reach the goals, the applicants will exploit a portal and longitudinal surveys already put in place (www.4youth.eu). Therefore, the idea is to involve those contacts on a discussion and opinion polls related to Youth and Education policies with Programmes Officers and Policy-Makers. Young people will be introduced on the main youth and education policies up to 2020 such as Youth Strategy 2010-2018, ET2020 and Youth on Move and the regional and national policies related to those programs. The participants will have the chance to meet online policy makers who will introduce in nutshell the ongoing policies and discuss, share and promote those policies. According to the 2020 policies, it will be asked to the participants to develop the 2030 agenda. The applicants foresees to involve 3,000 out of 5,000 young people. Once the opinion polls and the agenda are ready, some of the participants will be selected to participate to interregional offline meetings in which regional policy makers will be invited. The second event will be a meeting at national level with national policy makers and 100 participants each country. The last event will be held in Brussels in which 25 participants for each country will bring the youth and Education 2030 proposed Agenda to the European Policy-Makers in Brussels. During each meeting, participants will be divide in focus groups in order to raise their active participation and their awareness of political processes and compromise. We expect to give raise them the opportunity to shape policy and understand processes in local, national and European context, as well as to give to the Policy-Makers the opportunity to catch the needs & expectation of young people. In terms of long term results and impacts, the applicants would to setup a tool which can be used regularly.
