The work carried out in this thesis consisted of the synthesis by the sol-gel process of nanopowders based on titanium dioxide in order to make them catalysts for the degradation of methylene blue (BM). To do this, we prepared a variety of powders, in this case, pure TiO2 powder and TiO2 powders doped with silver or zinc with the concentrations: 1%, 5% and 10%.The effect of the decrease in the size of the particles and the variation of the band gap energy on the physical and optical properties of titanium dioxide and on the photo-catalytic activity has been demonstrated, where very interesting results were obtained, which are in this case: the degradation of 97% of the BM in 35 min for the Ag-TiO2 10% as well as the degradation of 100% of t...
