Meloidogyne graminicola (Mg), commonly known as the rice root-knot nematode, is a devastating pest worldwide, causing severe damages to rice production and other crops. The success of parasitism of this species in different rice-growing agrosystems raises questions about the origin, propagation, reproductive strategies and evolution of the genome in relation to adaptation processes linked to changes in environments and hosts.
