Analisis Sentimen Konflik Rusia-Ukraina dalam Kanal Berita Online Indonesia Menggunakan Pendekatan Berbasis Lexicon

Public opinion is needed to help the government navigate and evaluate policies. Information dissemination can shape public perception of important issues that occur and government regulations in an area where public knowledge of these matters is still limited. In Indonesia, the process of collecting public opinion is still far from available. Chances are if it is used consistently and as widely as possible, extracting public opinion holds true potential and is applicable across disciplines for micro to macro benefits. Sentiment analysis as an information extraction method is used to calculate sentiment in Indonesian-language online news articles regarding the Russia and Ukraine conflict that arises in 2022. This process is carried out using a lexicon-based approach to determine the polarity value of each data. The lexical dictionary used is the InSet Lexicon and based on the polarity value, the sentiment results will fall into 3 classes, namely positive, negative and neutral. The results of the news article sentiment classification show that more than 76% of the total 492 news stories are in the negative category, 20.5% are positive categories, and 3.3% are news with neutral sentiments.Pendapat masyarakat diperlukan untuk membantu pemerintah menavigasi dan mengevaluasi kebijakan yang diputuskan. Diseminasi informasi dapat membentuk persepsi publik terhadap isu-isu penting yang terjadi dan regulasi pemerintah di suatu wilayah di mana pengetahuan publik akan hal tersebut masih terbatas. Di Indonesia, proses pengumpulan opini publik masih terbatas padahal apabila digunakan secara konsisten dan seluas mungkin, potensi pemanfaatan ekstraksi opini publik dapat dipakai di lintas disiplin ilmu dari segi mikro hingga makro. Sentiment analysis sebagai salah satu metode ekstraksi informasi digunakan untuk mengkalkulasi sentimen dalam artikel berita online berbahasa Indonesia mengenai konflik Rusia dan Ukraina yang muncul di tahun 2022. Proses ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan berbasis lexicon untuk menentukan nilai polaritas setiap datanya. Kamus leksikal yang digunakan adalah InSet Lexicon dan berdasarkan nilai polaritasnya, hasil sentimen akan jatuh pada 3 kelas yaitu positif, negatif, dan netral. Hasil klasifikasi sentimen artikel berita menunjukkan lebih dari 76% dari total 492 berita masuk kategori negatif, 20,5% berita kategori positif, dan 3,3% berita bersentimen netral
