Today's networks continue to evolve and grow resulting more dense, complex and heterogeneous networks.This leads to new challenges such as finding new models to characterize the nodes distribution in the wireless network and approaches to mitigate interference. On the other hand, the energy consumption of WMNs is a challenging issue mainly in rural areas lacking of default electrical grids.
