International audienceWe solve the problems of set-point and tracking control of permanent-magnet synchronous motors with unknown load via linear angular-velocity-feedback control. We firstly assume that the motor parameters are known (except for the torque load) and show global exponential stability of the closed-loop system with a linear controller that uses only angular velocity measurements. Input to state stability follows as a corollary. We show how the latter may be enhanced via an additional current feedback. The controllers are also robust with respect to measurement noise and parametric uncertainty
