In this work, we are interested in scattering imaging in 2D and 3D configurations, where our objective is to reconstruct an image (contrast function) of an unknown object using measurements of the scattered field that results from the interaction between the unknown object and a known incident field whose propagation direction and frequency can be varied. The difficulty of this problem lies in the non-linearity of the forward model and in the ill-posed nature of the inverse problem which requires the introduction of prior information (regularization).
