Award recipients include Nathaniel R. Goldston, III (founder of the Atlanta chapter of 100 Black Men of America), Dr. Bernard J. Bridges, Dr. Walter Young, Dr. Ruth J. Simmons, FDNY Chief Steven Bernius, FDNY firefighter Kenneth Escoffery, United Airlines Flight 93 pilot LeRoy Homer, Jr. (posthumously awarded), and Judge Glenda Hatchett. The recording concludes with a special presentation to SCLC/W.O.M.E.N. founder Evelyn G. Lowery and remarks by Lowery.The Atlanta University Center Robert W.
