El cuaderno rayado

In this project entitled "The lined notebook" the artist, through artistic experimentation, affirms "that in reality we do not see the things around us but only see the images that cover those things. Things, therefore, remain inaccessible and mysterious forever. In the meantime, we move thanks to presumptions. Presumptions that are coherent and hence functional, but which enclose us in fiction. German-born Uruguayan artist Luis Camnitzer (Lübeck, Germany, 1937) is one of the key figures of Latin American conceptual artist who has developed a prolific oeuvre ( as essayist, art critic, exhibition curator, pedagogue, lecturer, and creator of actions and objects) focused on the transformative capacity of art, which he considers, in essence, a product of reflection.  En esta propuesta con título “El cuaderno rayado” el artista a través de una experimentación artística afirma “que en realidad no vemos las cosas a nuestro alrededor sino solamente vemos las imágenes que cubren esas cosas. Las cosas por lo tanto permanecen inaccesibles y misteriosas para siempre. Entre tanto nos movemos gracias a presunciones. Presunciones coherentes y de ahí funcionales, pero que nos encierran en una ficción”. Artista uruguayo de origen alemán Luis Camnitzer (Lübeck, Alemania, 1937), es una de las figuras clave del arte conceptual latinoamericano que ha desarrollado una prolífica obra (como ensayista, crítico de arte, comisario de exposiciones, pedagogo, conferenciante y creador de acciones y objetos) centrada en la capacidad transformadora del arte, al que considera en esencia un producto de la reflexión
