In education, self-regulation involves different aspects of monitoring, volition and actions aimed at achieving goals. The study intended to verify the reliability and validity of an instrument of self-regulation of learning for students of higher education, and to identify how it relates to academic performance. 516 students from Federal Institutes of Brazil participated and answered an online questionnaire.
