This photograph of Mt. Logan near Chillicothe was taken in the 1960s. Sunrise over Mt. Logan as seen from Thomas Worthington's estate Adena is believed to be the inspiration for the seal of the state of Ohio. The photograph measures 8" x 10" (20.32 x 25.4 cm). The Great Seal of the State of Ohio features a bundle of seventeen arrows representing Ohio's admission to the Union as the seventeenth state, and a sheaf of wheat. In the first seal of Ohio, created in 1847, a canal ran through the center. The current seal was adopted in 1967
