They support startups with their capital, but their knowledge, experience and network of contacts are more valuable. There are no studies in the scientific literature showing what the market in Poland looks like or what features do business angels have. We present the first study of this type in Poland. The aim of this article is to define the characteristics of business angels, their investment preferences and the manner of making investment decisions.
