Brecha digital y educación virtual en estudiantes de secundaria de una institución educativa ecuatoriana

The purpose of this article is to illustrate the impact of the digital divide in virtual education for high school students in an Ecuadorian educational institution. The study was carried out using a quantitative method. The type of study given was correlational, descriptive. A census sample of 40 students was selected using a correlational model. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire, of which the first deals with the digital divide and the second with virtual education. For data analysis, the Pearson r statistical test was used, which helps to determine the effect between both variables and confirm the hypothesis. The results showed that the average digital divide prevails by 40 percent and the high level of virtual education by 40 percent. They also established that there is a clear correlation between both variables.El propósito de este artículo es ilustrar el impacto de la brecha digital en la educación virtual para estudiantes de secundaria en una institución educativa ecuatoriana. El estudio se llevó a cabo utilizando un método cuantitativo. El tipo de estudio dado fue correlacional, descriptivo. Se seleccionó una muestra censal de 40 estudiantes utilizando un modelo correlacional. El instrumento para la recolección de datos fue un cuestionario, de los cuales el primero enfrasca la brecha digital y el segundo la educación virtual. Para el análisis de los datos se utilizó la prueba estadística r de Pearson, que ayuda a determinar el efecto entre ambas variables y confirmar la hipótesis. Los resultados mostraron que prevalece la brecha digital media en un 40 por ciento y el alto nivel de educación virtual en un 40 por ciento. También establecieron que existe una clara correlación entre ambas variables
