Background: Tribal populations have some specific characteristics which are different from other tribes. They have their own tradition. In view of their habitat and food habits, they form a distinct group compared to other populations. Their food intake is influenced by vagaries of nature, with large seasonal variations, depending upon availability of agricultural and forest produce. So the current study was conducted to assess the pattern of dietary consumption in tribal women.
