Not AvailableThe impact of temperature on the feed conversion, weight gain and overall growth of two widely cultured freshwater fish species of India Labeo rohita and Catla catla was assessed in the present study. Labeo rohita attained signicantly higher (P<0.05) body weight gain at water temperature of 28°C, followed by the same at water temperature of 32°C, 36°C, 24°C and 20°C, respectively. The sh reared at 28°C water temperature showed the best feed intake value (86% consumption), followed by those maintained at 32°C, 36°C, 24°C and 20°C, respectively.
