Executive dysfunction is a core feature of methamphetamine use disorder (MUD) and is linked with poor clinical outcomes across substance use disorders. Current evidence-based MUD treatments do not directly target these deficits; although cognition remediation may be well-suited to fill this gap. Goal Management Training (GMT) is an evidence-based cognitive remediation intervention, originally designed for neurological populations. This thesis tailored GMT (now GMT+) to enhance relevance for MUD and explored tolerability and initial benefits for executive functions and outcomes. The findings provide preliminary support for GMT+ as an adjunctive MUD treatment and provide clinical recommendations to further optimise the intervention
