The increasing adoption of open science practices in the last decade has been changing the scientific landscape across fields. However, developmental science has been argued to be relatively slow in adopting open science practices. One of the barriers to applying open science practices might be a lack of knowing ‘how to start’ among developmental researchers. To address this issue, we followed the format of Crüwell et al.
