Implementation and perspectives of the Assistance Center for Occupational Therapy in Health and Work: experience report of a pilot project

The Laboratory of Investigation and Intervention in Health and Work (LIIST) of the Occupational Therapy Area of the Department of Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo seeks to aggregate different activities, actors and proposals to favor the construction of a integral model in health and work, which articulates the care to the workers, from their leave, through functional rehabilitation to the resumption of work activities. In this context, the purpose of this experience report is to characterize the Assistance Center for Occupational Therapy in Health and Work of the Hospital das Clínicas da FMUSP as a pilot project in the provision of actions in professional rehabilitation, inclusion in the labor market, return to and permanence in the work situations. Documents and data from NATOST HCFMUSP were used as sources of information. The contextual elements that justified the creation of the Nucleus were presented, as well as its action proposal and workflows, as well as some results obtained in the first year of implementation, perspectives and challenges for its sustainability. The preliminary results, including the reception of 75 referrals in its first year of implementation, reaffirm the existence of demands of this nature within the scope of HCFMUSP and the relevance of the proposal. The consolidation of NATOST - HCFMUSP as a didactic-assistance pole, aims to formalize a care proposal that combines professional rehabilitation with the transition of care as health promoters and facilitators of practical teaching (undergraduate and graduate), from the promotion of networks of health care.O Laboratório de Investigação e Intervenção em Saúde e Trabalho (LIIST) da Área de Terapia Ocupacional do Departamento de Fisioterapia, Fonoaudiologia e Terapia Ocupacional da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo busca agregar diferentes atividades, atores e propostas para favorecer a construção de um modelo integral em saúde e trabalho, que articule o cuidado ao trabalhador, desde seu afastamento, passando pela reabilitação funcional até a retomada das atividades laborais. Neste contexto, a proposta deste relato de experiência é a de caracterizar o Núcleo Assistencial de Terapia Ocupacional em Saúde e Trabalho do Hospital das Clínicas da FMUSP enquanto projeto piloto na oferta de ações em reabilitação profissional, inclusão no mercado de trabalho, retorno e permanência nas situações laborais. Utilizou-se documentos e dados do próprio NATOST HCFMUSP como fontes de informação. Apresentou-se os elementos contextuais que justificaram a criação do Núcleo, bem como caracterizada sua proposta de ação e fluxos de trabalho, além de alguns resultados obtidos no primeiro ano de implantação, perspectivas e desafios para sua sustentabilidade. Os resultados preliminares, incluindo a recepção de 75 encaminhamentos em seu primeiro ano de implantação, reafirma a existência de demandas desta natureza no âmbito do HCFMUSP e a pertinência da proposta.
