Komprehensif Analisis Pada Estimasi Cadangan Dan Peramalan Kinerja Reservoir Masa Depan Menggunakan Perangkat Lunak MBAL Pada Lapangan Minyak Kotabatak

Production from an oil and gas field must experience a decline in production (decline of production), due to a decrease in reservoir pressure and reservoir performance, resulting in the field not being able to produce optimally, therefore the estimation of oil reserves needs to be re-evaluated. The field that will be studied is the Kotabatak field which is operated by PT. Pertamina Hulu Rokan which is located 40 km west of the Minas field which has an anticline geological structure, which consists of 3 blocks, namely Blocks 1, 2 and 3. The peak production (peak of production) of the Kotabatak field reached 45,000 BOPD in 1972. Kotabatak field has a driving force, namely water drive and based on data in 2015 the existing oil reserves in the Kotabatak field reservoir in Block 3 amounted to 51.1 MMSTB. Based on the production data and reservoir characteristics of the Kotabatak field, the authors simulate the reserve forecasting model and reservoir behavior forecasting using the Material Balance concept on the MBAL simulator, and also create several field development scenarios with infill wells. The results of the Production Scenario Simulation shows that the presence of an infill well can increase the recovery factor from 45.4% to 48% and cumulative oil from 23.63 MMSTB to 25.01 MMSTB
