LE DIJE A ELLOS EN LUGAR DE LES DIJE A ELLOS: DESPRONOMINALIZACIÓN DEL CLÍTICO DATIVO

The aim of this paper is to show an analysis of the linguistic factors that motivate the lack of agreement in plural of the Spanish dative clitic in a context of duplication of the indirect object. A corpus of written Spanish sources from different provinces of Argentina in 2019-2020 was analyzed. The hypothesis is that the lack of agreement is produced mainly when the different clause elements, particularly the one that traditional grammar describes as indirect object, do not have their prototypic characteristics, when the speaker requires a greater cognitive process to conceptualize the indirect object, and when the linguistic context resists the flexion of le/s. This hypothesis has its basis on the evidence that the Spanish clitic le is depronominalized, in other words, it has loosed its anaphoric ability to be a particle that anticipates the presence of an indirect object.El propósito de este trabajo es exponer un análisis de los factores lingüísticos que motivan la pérdida de concordancia en plural del clítico dativo en contextos de duplicación del objeto indirecto. Se analizó un corpus de fuentes escritas proveniente del español de distintas provincias de Argentina de los años 2019-2020. La hipótesis consiste en que la pérdida de concordancia se produce mayoritariamente cuando los distintos elementos de la cláusula, en particular, el participante que la gramática tradicional describe como objeto indirecto, no posee sus características prototípicas definitorias, cuando el hablante requiere un mayor procesamiento cognitivo para conceptualizar dicho participante y cuando el contexto lingüístico resiste la flexión de le/s. Dicha hipótesis parte de la evidencia de que el clítico le se ha despronominalizado, es decir, ha perdido su capacidad anafórica para convertirse en una partícula que anticipa la presencia de un objeto indirecto
