The Alliance for Adequate and Healthy Food is used as a case study to understand public disputes related to food quality in Brazil by analyzing how the coalition problematizes the quality of processed foods between 2016 and 2021. This research hopes to contribute to research on the food disputes in which food activism groups in Brazil are embedded. I start from the principle of actor-network theory that, in order to understand the problematization made by the Alliance, it is necessary to look at the whole set of actors, human and non-human, who align and build the organization in pursuit of the same goals.
