The implementation of the energy transition and the building of energy communities are driving forward the exploitation of the potential for rooftop photovoltaic power generation. Estimating rooftop PV generation potential requires the processing of different types of data, such as the cadastral information of buildings, a detailed description of available rooftop areas, and solar irradiance data.
