دراسة تطبيقية على كتاب البرهان للإمام الجويني

The point of this research is to study the "Sunnah" in the perspective of the scholars of "Usul" (The Applied Study on the book Al-Burhan of Imam Juhayni). I have arranged the parts of the research consisting of Introduction, four chapters and conclusion. As for the introduction, I began it by a prophetic tradition on the importance of sunnah and I also mentioned in it why I have chosen the topic and enumerated the chapters. In the chapter one, the framework of the research. In chapter two, the biography of Imam al-Haramain which includes his birth, life, death, his contribution in knowledge and praise of the scholars for him alongside withit the study of social policy which the people lived in during the time of the Imam. The study began discussing the definition of the book Al-Burhan of Imam Al-Haramain on the third chapter from the title of the book, ascription to the author, clarification on his method of writing and its status with regards to knowledge. The study begins on the point of the Imam of Al-Haramain giving importance on the text of the Sunnah and its sciences through out its discussion on some issues and with his preferred opinion which stands on evidences in the scholarly conflict in differences of opinion on certain issues which is afar from fanaticism, he paved the way on the methodology of debating on problematic issues and refuting the deduction whether it came from the madhab (school of thought) which the Imam is the considered t be upon or not according to the origin of the ruling which the Imam (may Allah have mercy on him) is satisfied with and stayed afar from other opinions. Also the objective of this study is to achive a good understanding and application of the pure Sunnah (tradition) of the prophet صلى وسلم عليه اهللthrough the principles which has been laid down by the scholars of Usul (fundamentals) and as the conclusion of this research on chapter four is a paragraph about the modern research which the scholars have mentioned in their books. The researcher of this study has arrived a number of results and recommendations where the most impotant is to act upon Sunnah whether it be a Hadith Ahad (a hadith that has single narrator) or Hadith Mutawatir ( a hadith which has a large number of narrators) Lastly, As usual, at the end of every research study is the artistic table of contents to facilitate searching the topics in the research.
